Backstory: Carolin was born into the richest family of District One, being the mayor's daughter. Her mom bought her anything she wanted. At career camp one day she slit one person's throat on purpose because they stole her hairbrush. Then she was thinking of volunteering and winning. At the reaping, the escort said, MELISSA BROWN! A million girls shouted, "I volunteer!", but Carolin said it before anyone else, and pushed her way up there.
